HarbourQ – Charlestown

View of Harbour Q from the other side of the Harbour

The HarbourQ is in such a great location in Charlestown, situated pretty much exactly where Poldark was filmed. You have a great view of the beach and harbour, whilst being out of the way of the rush of visitors.

Excited to sniff all the lovely BBQ smells.

There isn’t any parking at the HarbourQ but there is a carpark a five minute walk away up the hill. The minimum amount you can pay for is 2 hours, but this is plenty of time for you to eat at the HarbourQ and then have a short walk around the Harbour and onto the Beach.

Excuse me, I’ll have one PAWsecco please.
There is a Bar where you can buy alcoholic drinks & soft drinks. You pay a cup deposit and can either keep the cup after or return it for your money back.
Mixed Taco tray, Dirty Fries and Chicken Shawama

Our food was absolutely delicious, pictured above. We had the mixed taco (one mackerel taco, one beef, and one sweet potato), dirty fries (pulled beef on top of a portion of fries) and Chicken Shawama (like a slightly spiced greek style kebab). The Portion sizes are great, and the ingredients are fresh – they even have herb planters around the seating area. We left the HarbourQ feeling extremely satisfied without the guilt you usually feel when eating out.

Channelling my inner Matilda to try and float a chip into my mouth

We thought that it was reasonably priced for the food, given the fresh ingredients, portion sizes and that your food is cook to order.

We enjoyed our experience so much so we left a £10 tip. The manager, Mel, will go above and beyond to ensure you have a lovely time whilst you visit.
